Dear Mr.Rajnish, As per my knowledge, ESI will be deducted on gross salary only. not on incentives. Incentives are apart from salary. Regards, Sri

Dear Rajnish,
As per my opinion, if the incentive is being paid on monthly asis than ESI would be deducted. If the incentive is being paid after every two months, than no ESI amount will be deducted on incentive amount.

According to me Incentive will be added to your ESI deduction. As mentioned by our friend Jony Incentive is a part of your final salary and whether you get it or not will depend on your performance. if Incentive is going with every payout then we have to dedicated esi on incentives. if we are paying incentive on every 90 days then no need to deduct.

ESIC have some condition on incentive if we paid quarterly then no need to deducted the ESI of we are paying every month with salary or without salary then we need to deducted the ESIC as per labour norms
