Enter all the head you have in salary slip starting from earnings and end with the deductions and the net Amount to be diplayed with all your company information.

For Ex:-

Payslip for the month of "oct 07 "

Personal Details like this to come first

Name : PF Number :
Emp id : Esi Number :
Dept : D.O.J :
Design : D.O.B :

then earnings column

Basic : D.A : Allowances: Gross: "Add all the columns you will get the gross amount"

then Deduction column

Pf: (Basic + da ) *12% ESI: Gross*1.75% Total deduction :PF + ESI

Net amount : Gross - Total deduction

by this way you can create in Excel

or if you in detail send me your sample payslip will clear your doubt
