Dear Friends,
My organization is planning to hire a person (high profile) to utilize his services as a Head - Operations, but purely on consultancy basis (Not on the payroll of the company).
I would appreciate if you could guide me with the format of letter to convey our intent to utilize his service on consultancy for a year.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Hi Swapnaja
You can appoint the person on a FTC (Fixed Term Contract). The general clauses should include about his specific role and responsiblity pertaining to his skill set and your company objectives. Also you need to give him lump sum compensation and no break up. Similarly, make specific mention that no leave and other benefits which are available to the other permanent employees in the company would be applicable to him. Since, this is a FTC, if the contract is not renewed and unless terminated, shall expire on the appointed date. All these need to come come in the Contract. If you specify the specific role that he is going to perform i.e. what kind of operations, I can help you with the format of the FTC. Pl mail me his profile and his deliverables, and I can provide you with the specific draft. My e mail is and you also can feel free to contact me on my cell no. 09822395659
Regards & wish you all the best.

Dear
Since the profile is on the High end it is better to enter into a Contract containing the terms on Non Judicial Stamp Paper. You can download the Model from websites.
with kind regards,
