2. Since I have a job exp of 1.5 yrs in development fld , once i do executive-MBA in HR , il be a fresher in HR field. So this 1.5 yrs of wrk exp wil be a waste ?
3. Iv heard tht Executive-MBA is for those people who wants to do MBA in the same field as what they're working in . Since im workin as a s/w engineer(developer) and im choosin HR as a subject , will it make any sense in doing this course ? :?

What is the total number of years in the workforce?

>1. How helpful wud it be if i do Executive MBA ?<

Executive MBA programs in the US usually require at least 8 years of work experience and the students keep their day jobs.

The average age of the 40 students in my Executive MBA class was 38 years.

Executive MBA programs are designed for working managers.

It may not be enough to get you into an Executive MBA program.

In the US Executive MBA programs are for the most part a general management program--no specialization since students are already well into their chosen professional career.

Hello,
1. Executive MBA can be of 6 months to one year duration and are conducted by all IIMs, XLRI, Jamanlal Bajaj, Narseemonji, MDI, and lots of B schools like Welingkar/ SP Jain at Mumbai.
2. The course is basically for working personnel who want to take a break and do the course. Many tell that the course is useful and has fetched them good jobs.
3. I am also trying to join the course at one of the IIMs.
4. Watch out for paper ads and can also visit IIM website for further info.
Best Wishes,
