I have just logged in. Can anyone help me out by providing the list of legal formalities and compliances to be made for opening a retail store

1) The first thing is to enter into an Agreement for taking place for opening of store. The nature of Agreement depends on case to case like Lease Agreement, Leave & License Agreement etc.
2) After that take Trade License from the respective state.
3) Take Music License if you want to play music in the store. Music License is taken from IPRS and PPL (from both the agencies)
4) Register the store under Shops and Establishment Act of the respective state. (for the time the registration in Delhi has been kept in abeyance by the State Government)
The above is required from the legal point of view.

Trust this mail will help you in running a retail store, however, you did not specify the what kind of retail business, you will operate.
Music Retail:
Shops & Establishment license - MCD (if in Delhi), other cities, local registrations if the city like chandigarh, ahd, and pune etc.
PPL & IPRL licenses to run a music inside store.
Establishment PF no. & ESIC no.
Food:
Need a PFA licencne.
Restraurant.
contractor license, if no. of contracor's labour are high.

is there a certain compliance if the store is opening for 12 hrs?
is there any way by which we can pay a fresher at the store less than the minimum wages?
