Dear all i have one confusion.. pt deduct on net salary or gross salary ? i am really very confuse and now don t know that what to do ? there is one case i would like to share with you all if a person getting a salary of 12000 then pt will be 200 but that person is absent for 15 days than his salary will become less than 6000. and according to pt slab you cannot cut the pt of less than 5999 salary of employee. so i request you all that what to do ? it is real case in our organization this month and i am newly joined that is why having this confusion. please remove my confusion..
How to apply for pt registration in karnataka as there is no branch office?
Would like to know if there is no branch office in the state where the employees are based out and performing their duties in such scenario will the professional tax applicable? for example company abc having its head office in mumbai and they have employees pan india. company has its branch offices in gujarat & west bengal but not in karnataka. and there are sales employees who are local and hired to operate from bangalore karnataka only. now for karnataka is the company liable to deduct the professional tax from karnataka employees as per karnataka pt slab where there is no office. if yes than how the company will apply for pt registration in karnataka as there is no branch office. or the company should deduct pt as per maharashtra slab and deposit the same with maharashtra authority? or the employer need not to deduct the pt since there is no branch in the karnataka? kindly throw some light. regards

Dear sir 1 follwoing coponents are shown in ctc/ offer letter 1 lta paid annually 2 medical allowance paid quarterly 3 ad hoc allowance paid quarterly can we take these components into consideration while fixing the pt slab rate / are they form part of gross salary how to decide pt slab rate. because in some months gross salary will be less but in some months gross salary will be high due to disbursement of these allowances /benefits 2 what is gross salary for pt calculation

How can we pay the pt and epf when employee not working full days in a month??? generally pt caluculated on da. and one more doubt in pt in my organization salary system is basic salary. suppose employee salary is 7000/ now he was absent in 10 days in a month.the net salary drawn by a employee is less than 5000/ now tell me which slab he will come and how much will pay pt.
