Dear All,
Please suggest a suitable Salary break up for approx. 5.5 Lac per annum. The present salary break up of mine consists of Basic + HRA + Conveyance + others. Hence we could save taxes for HRA and conveyance (max limit 9600.0) only.
After saving (worth 1Lac), i have to pay a amount as big as 80,000.0 or more. :(
somebody suggested for petrol reimbursement and medical reimbursement.
Medical again have an upper limit of 15000.0
Is there any upper limit in Petrol as well.
What is Corporate attire benefit? What is the upper limit of this?
regards

Hi kirti,
You can add sodexo meal coupons worth of 2400 per month. it is completely tax exempted and also doen not come in fringe benefit tax.For petrol , no upper limit is there but , its, better if u can take a limit of 4000/ per month. well following is the breakup which u can use to save your tax.
BASIC-35% OF CTC-
HRA-50% OF BASIC
CONY-800
TELEPHONE REIMBURSEMENT-1200 PER MONTH-(you can produce your landline+mobile bill) AND SAVE TAX
MEDICAL REIMBURSEMENT-1250 per month-tax exempt
petrol-4000-on PRODUCING BILL YOU CAN SAVE TAX
SODEXO MEAL VOUCHERS-2400-PER MONTH-TAX EXEMPT
TRAINING REIMBURSEMENT-30K PER YEAR-BY PRODUCING BILL U CAN SAVE TAX.
i hope this will help u.

Many thanks Katayan,
Please also tell me whether it is compulsory that Car belongs to company for getting Petrol Claim?
What shall be tax liability to company or me if we simply get 2000.0 as meal allowance instead of Sodexho meal coupon. Frankly I do not think that I can spent 2400 worth of Meal coupons in restaurants per month
