Dear HR Team,
(In A.P), If an employee gross salary is 15500/- P.M ,then the P.T is 150/- as per slab, if the employee earned the salary only 14000/- due to loss of pay in the particular month, then we need to deduct the P.T 150/- form his salary or not. Please give the clarity on this.

The slab is always on the salary earned and not on salary decided. Hope this must have clarified your query.

dear veerabathani
god bless you.
the basic aspect of calculating professional tax is on annual income and not monthly income.
2. you have to deduct on a monthly basis and deposit.
3. if the basic salary is 15500.00 pm and he drops to 14000.00 for what ever reasons it has no impact on professional tax calculations
YOU MUST RECOVER THE AMOUNT DUE AND DEPOSIT TO TREASURY
BLESSINGS
