Attendance maintained Electronically Hi,
Can someone tell me if it is legal to maintain attendance of employees in an electronic form. If it is not, is there any particular sanctions that we need to obtain to ensure that we are not violating any law.
My company is a BPO and is registered under the Shops & Establishments Act. The reason for the above querry is because an inspector from the Shops & Establishments Act who visited us said that all employees are supposed to maintain their attendance in Attendance registers and it cannot me maintained electornically.
Need your help.
