Dear all mimimum wage is yet revised and this time by big margin. the notification states basic 6500 and da 1232 summing to total of 7732. now we have been paying a gross salary to our contractual staff more than 7732 but that included components like washing allowance hra but the basic we were paying is lesser than what the new declaration advises. do i need to revise the basic is order to be compliant. or since the gross is more than what is stated no revision is necessary.

Hie i m eva.i have a query regarding the deduction and wage ceiling under esic. i have joined my current job in november 2006.while offer later was given in the month of october.i was offered package of 1.25 lacs per annum. that comes to 10417 per month.the breakup is as below: basic 5000 hra2000 medical allowance445 pf12 of basic i.e 600 sa2372 but when i got my first salarythere was no medical allowance included in thatinstead esic was deduted from that. and that too both employees and employers contribution i.e 1.75 and 4.75 respectively was deducted from my salary. as per my knowledge the updated wage ceiling for esic is 10000. can anyone help me with the solution?and why i have been covered under esic? pls reply back
