Hey ,
I was terminated by the company as I took leave for 15days without informing. As I had some personal issues. And now they are asking me to pay the sum of 26,500/- as a liue clearance to the company. What should I do should I pay them or not. If not they have told they will take a legal action thru court. Please suggest me what to do.
Regards
Akshay

Dear Akshay,
Time and again it has been reiterated by most of the contributing members of this forum that Posters should give necessary and vital informations related to the query so as to enable the resource persons offer appropriate answers. Since you are a new member, you may not be aware of this. Even then your query is shrouded by certain ambiguities.
Taking leave without information means nothing other than unauthorised absence which I think is the cause of action for your termination.
Whether your termination was consequent on any disciplinary proceedings against you.
There is no mention why the Company should insist a particular sum from a terminated employee that too with a threat of legal action in case of non-compliance.
Better answer the above questions.

Hello Akshay,
Like Umakanthan mentioned, pl give more details of your situation.
W.r.t. your line "......they are asking me to pay the sum of 26,500/- as a lieu clearance to the company", this is the way I look @ what YOU are trying to say.
Generally any Termination will mention reason(s) clearly......which you SEEM to have objected to OR asked for NOT being mentioned AND for which the Company has asked for the money.
Pl clarify/confirm IF this is the right interpretation.....if NOT, pl give the exact details for the members to give actionable suggestions.
However, as a general Rule, no Company can ask for money, especially from an employee who has been terminated. But your case seems to be different........it seems more of a 'deal' gone sour.
Rgds,
