Letter signing authorization
Dear freinds / seniors my organization has branches pan india. we have zonal managers to take care of their respective zones with ho in mumbai. these managers are not deputed at mumbai office. few of our top management people feel that to empower zonal managers this years increment letters which are released from mumbai be signed by the zonal managers alone for their respective zones. i as hr have opposed to this and suggested that there should be 2 signatures on the letters. one from head office and one from zonal managers. i feel these signatures should not be delegated to one person. can i please have your suggestions on this best regards ds
Some of tl's dont want to report to manager due to ego issues
Dear team we have os as manger tl execution team. organisation has some old staff who have joined long back and been with company during thick & thin s of company. now company is growing well and have deployed new managers to run organisation more efficiently. some employees who were expert in their work prior; have reporting managers now whom they have to report daily work too. these set of employees are not willing to send daily report to managers. as of now manger s dont have issue with same but management is not happy with such kind of work culture which may spoil rest teams performance also. so management have asked hr to take call on such employees who dont want to report to managers and have told to give warning to such staff who still have ego to report to manager. kindly advice how to deal with such employees. or what action hr can take or advice management for same. it would be great if any experts share their contact no to discuss further or more elaboration required on above. thanks sharayu
Managers vs learders
Hi all well like me probably some others may also have queries in understanding the difference between managers and leaders. there are business leaders and there are business managers. and while some leaders are managers and some managers are leaders many times leaders and managers are very different. it may be that leaders can be good managers because of their visionary approach to situations but on the other hand even managers can be good leaders as managers are concerned with the problem at hand; they focus on what has to be done. leaders on the other hand notice what has to be done but spend their time figuring out how to get it done. i would request all to post in and share your point of view on this. thanks & regards anusha.s
Project managers to people managers
Hi would want to know few evaluation parameters to judge if project managers are good people managers. delivery managers are usually concenrned about meeting deadlines and lose focus on people management and employee engagement. we are trying to devise parameters which can evaluate these line managers as future people managers.. anyone with views on it? regards nchalil
All managers are human resource managers
My company has a new policy that all line managers should be human resource managers. they say since all managers are all engaged daily in the process of managing people and have all the new line managers form a partnership with hr. what do you guys think of this policy i don t know how sucessful it will be.
