Dear HRs
I would like to know that as a contractor do I require to submit Muster Roll to our client/ Principle Employer for only 2 workers???
Kindly note that we have already submitted salary register, PF & ESI breakup and challans & salary slips.
As per my unsure knowledge, a contractor requires to submit Muster Roll upon 100 workers or so. Kindly clarify.
Regards

Contract labour regulation and abolition act becomes applicable when you employ minimum of 20 contract labours in any working day.
But you have to maintain muster roll, wage slips, ID card, Register of wages, etc., Principal employer may be required to show all these when the inspector visits for inspection.

PE may need to verify entries viz. attendance, wage rates, etc. shown. How otherwise he will be able to verify your wage bill? Please stay updated if you want to grow. Shrikant Prabhudesai
