Hi Dear,
First of all, develop your “can do it” attitude.
Manmitha, I can understand your situation. But this is not a very big problem.
• You can join some good English spoken class.
• Read English novel (You can start from easy one)
• Start reading English newspaper
• Start watching English news.
• Try to use little English sentences in your daily conversation
• Try to improve your vocabulary
• Use dictionary very frequently
• And the most important thing, don’t loose your patient. Be confident.
Best of Luck,
Meha

hi manmitha,
you can do the following things to improve your language...
1) Read English novel
2) Start reading English newspaper
3) Try to write the articles from the newspaper on your own and see where you have done your mistakes....
4) also please go through www.answers.com if you dont understand the meaning of any words.........
5) Start watching English movies / news.
6) Try to use English language when ever you talk with your friends and with your close ones...
7) try to read dictionary very often....i know it is very boring but believe me when ever you will the english dictionary you will feel satisfied and you will start remembering the meaning of the words automatically and that will in turn your english
BELIEVE ME I HAVE HELPED MANY PEOPLE IN IMPROVING THEIR ENGLISH AND IT REALLY WORKS......

Hi,
Firstly, it's not such a major problem. Nobody's perfect and we all learn each day.
* Develop a positive attitude that you can and you will....
* Try reading (aloud), it helps.
* Try conversing at all times in english, don't feel shy and uncomfortable even if you go wrong.
*Try joining a spoken english class. You can email your query to
I'm sure you'll see the difference in yourself in no time.
All the Best!

hello there...
As I understand..u r hesitant to converse as u think u r having weak communiction skills... but realising that u r weak in something is the first step taken...so gud,,,
doosri cheez yeh hai ki dont wait for the day u achieve perfection then u shall speak,,,small kids learn to walk by falling many times...So dont feel embarrased to make mistakes...
Learn 5 new english words daily taken from Newspaper..newspaper isliye ki woh ek aap aadmi k liye hta hai tou us ki language bhi daily use mein aane wale words ki hoti hai,
call up customer care from ur mobile and talk...ek tou woh call free hoti hai...dusre woh log kisi ka phone patak nahi sakte and teesri cheez they are not knowing u personally tou embarrasement nahi hogi mistakes pe...
take care and enjoy...

Hi Meha,
The tips mentioned for improvement in english are really appreciable. I would like to add to those i.e. READ ENGLIGH NEWSPAPER LOUDLY DAILY. Because this is destressing as well train the tongue in english language. Secondly watch NDTV and BBC News Channel daily. This would help in learning good english and comprehension.

Hi Meha,
It is quite surprising to me that on saturday there is HR Meet. Nobody invited me for this meet. The organisers should have splashed an invitation to all HR professionals on this site. If invitation was restricted to a few then also it could have been spalshed on this site. They might have some reasons for not doing so. Did you receive an invitation? I am a self respecting person. i do not go anywhere without formal invitation.I believe in giving a Presentation on the occasion. That is true and meaningful participation. This is not "picnic" for entertainment. may observe how serious people are those who come to attend this HR meet. I thank you for informing me about the meet. Otherwise i would never have come to know of this meet. But which saturday is this ? on 27-10-07 ? Are u one of the organisors?
