:(i am suffering from spondilytis since i was 12. and now i am 23, but no improvement. i am student and with time my pain has only increased. doctors have advised me not to do anything that involves bending my neck. but i can't help it. because almost every work involves even the tiniest bit of bending forward. recently another doctor advised me to go for IFT. i don't know what it is. can anyone help me?
P.S:- i was given traction for nearly six months. i was fine then. but after a short period of time, i was back to square one.

Hi Kavitha/Mazz/Venu,
Before I say something good for you, let me emphasis one truth. Having positive attitude is the most important pillar for good health.
And now here is good news for you. One of my friend was suffering similarly and he took some dietary food supplements along with medicine and tractions and got cured in a short duration.
And I heard that all dieseases originate only because of lack of balanced nutrition, that is lack of some important vitamins and minerals.
If you really want to know more about it. let me know and I will check with my friend to furnish more details on it.
My mail ID is
Its my pleasure to share the good things to others.

Thanks for the information:).. i have suffered a lot due to this disease. i can't even sit for 5 minutes straight. my neck, shoulders and starts paining. sometimes i get these attack sort of things and then i am unable to move the right side of my body. i am an engineering student and i have my studies. but due to spondilytis, i can't even study properly. worst is during the exam time when i have to write for 3 hours. i get almost paralysed after that. can u tell me if surgery would help? i read that cervical spondilytis surgery is quite a risky affair as sometimes it can lead to permanent paralysis below the neck.

Yes ravi, u r right. my doctor told me that this problem usually starts from the age of 13 or 14 mostly because of the improper posture. when sitting and use of more than 1 pillow while lying down.
