Job Change

Hi,
Everyone . First of all i want to thank this website and all the members for such a good response of my many queries.This is really good platform for the person who needs advice.
I also need an expert advice here.Regarding my professional background : I have done my M.B.A. with Marketing in 2004, and my work experience consist of total 3 years.
out of this 3 years , intially for 1 year i worked for print media company in marketing. then i left job and joined export firm and working there in operation division for last 2 years.
i want to change this job for better package & career and got the opportunity to work in finance field with 40% hike from my current package.
now problem lies here ,I AM VERY CONFUSED . WHAT TO DO? is it advisable to change my current job in export ?coz now i would be in 3rd new field. i.e. after media and export.
So, plz. guide me on this matter. should i venture in new field ? if yes then wouldnt it be harmful for my future career ?
Plz. this matter is very urgent

Hi Seema,

First and foremost thing that you need to concentrate on is "What do you like doing the most?".

Understand yourself.

When you reach to a conclusion follow as below:

1. What are the alternatives available

2. Which is the best alternative.

Once you select your goal stick to it. Initial stages you may face difficulties. So, try to collect as much information as possible about your dream job.

hai seema..if you change your job, you would be into 3rd field as you said....It will be a new life and experience all together....Quite different life style from remaining two..If you continue in the same job, you will have rapid growth compared to newone..the same thing happened with my dad also...He did M.Sc chemistry from KurukshetraUniversity..After that he joined as chemist in Madras cements...After some time , he quitted that and joined as medical representative ..after working 3 years he then hanged up that also..now he is working as a teacher ...Had he continued in any of the earlier two jobs, he would have been certainly better position than what we are in now...I dont say , this is bad..but it could have been better..So its upto you to decide, whether to change or not..Because career is your....No one will be with you( those who advice)..
