Does esi have any limitation for the cost of treatment?
Dear team as what i know that if someone is covered by esi then they can go to the private hospitalscovered by esi & there are no limitations on the cost of treatment but now i got a doubt when i visited esi hospital for the treatment of one my friend then the esi doctor referred him in private hospital & said the esi hospital will check his eligibility of amount that how much expenses would be covered by esi & after going through his esi account they will tell me his balance for the same. i just wanted to clarify that is there anything like this that there would be a certain amount of expenses would be covered by esi or os there any kind of balance based on the esi deduction i.e if an employees joined the company & from the 2nd month for treatment then what would be his eligibility?

Dear all i am framing leave policy for my company. i need a clarification with regard to sick leave. we are planning to give 6 days of sl in a year. i was advised not to allocate sl for those employees covered under esi and instead add those sl to any other type of leave given. this sound advantageous to employees over those who are not covered under esi. employees covered under esi get the same number of days as those not covered under esi as well as could benefit from the leaves claimable through esi. kindly guide me on this. regards uma
If an employee is covered under esi, is s/he applicable for the sick leave?
My query to the team is on esi & sick leave details employees not covered under esi are eligible for sick leave days as per company s decision and can avail the benefit which shall be treated as paid leave but if an employee is covered under esi is s/he applicable for the sick leave. kindly clarify i do understand that employees apply for sick leave for 12 days stating as fever to carry out the personal works and get approved but for esi covered employee do the organization need to sanction the sl or mark it as leave without pay as they can submit claim at esi office for 12 days.

Hello members i am in a manufacturing company.some of the workers and employees are under esi act but their are also some employees and managers who are not covered under esi because their wages are higher than esi ceiling limit.now my confusion is...are they employees covered under compensation act or excluded from both acts?
