Dear All,
I need a sample letter of willing to pay in lieu of notice.
In my appointment letter, i need to give two months notice if i tender my resignation. But i would only like to give one months notice. I need a sample of the letter willing to pay in lieu. Please help

With reference to the above, it is humbly submitted that I was appointed as ......................to work in your HO/Branch Office at above mentioned address w.e.f............. Since then I am working with your company up to expectation of my superiors and there is no bad remark about my performance and conduct.

However, due to having some personal problems / better offer else where I have decided to tender my resignation for my post in our company. As per clause ...........of my appointment letter cited in above reference, I require to give a notice for 2 months. However, I would like to get relief from your company after serving a notice for one month. In view of the above, I may kindly be permitted to work for one month in notice period and I will pay amount in lieu of 2nd month notice period.

Therefore, I may kindly be permitted to resign for my job from our company. Let me take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all my superiors, colleagues and subordinates who extended their kind cooperation in discharging my duty during my tenure with company.
