Hi i am going to withdraw my pf. whatever amount i get is taxable to 30. can u pls let me know. i dont want to pay tax and this pf of 2 years. and i regulary withdrawn my pf from previous companies and never paid any tax. is there any harm :

Even though this question has been put up several times i want to be confirmed with updated info. what is the tax levied if i withdraw pf before 5 years of service. it seems it was 30 earlier has there been any amendments to this yet. i ve heard some news of it being taxfree in future would appreciate some light on that. thanks you guys are of great help. regards rajat chauhan

Hi dear hr professionals i have some doubts regarding pf and gratuity. like 1. what is the the reason which we have the ceiling of rs.350000 for gratuity ? if it exceeds what may happen? 2. is there any ceiling for pf amount to avail income tax rebate. normally we do have tax rebate for pf amount. if there is any ceiling for the same kindly assist me. i am looking forward for your honest reply. warm regards kannan
Query on pf contribution
Hi all this is my first post. i have two queries 1. my basic salary is around 27000 per month. can i choose not to contribute to the pf. if i can do that and i contribute nothing what happens to the employer s contribution. is it sent to pf or is it paid out as part of monthly compensation? also is this under company s discretion about what the pf contribution i will make?? 2.the pf and gratuity deduction....are they tax exempt at at deduction or point of investing i.e. while calculating tax is it calculated after all deductions have been made? regards abhishek

Respected seniors i need an advice from you all. please let me know whether statutory deductions like income tax pf asnd esi are applicable on closure compensation. do we need to deduct income tax pf and esi on the amount payable to workmen? awaiting your learned response.
