Leave policy in construction company
I am working in construction company as an hr. in my company we give 16 paid leaves to an employees after confirmation & 13 national & local holidays. so is that fine ? i have read that as per shop act employees should get minimum 21 paid leaves addition to national holidays. please suggest me a good option so that i can implement it in company. its very urgent please help. regards anushka
3 national holidays are on saturday or sunday in karnataka , could this be compensated with festival holidays
Dear all this year 2020 3 of the national holidays are on saturday or sunday in karnataka. employees are asking us to compensate those 3 national holidays by giving any other 3 festival holidays. is it ok according to law to compensate those national holidays with festival holidays. please suggest
No leave on national holidays
Hello i was going through this site and came across a topic that was to my interest. snotbeinggivenpg2.html but everybody there was just talking about the working on sundays. no one really discussed national holidays. i work for an offshore it software development company in gujarat. we do get off for other festivals like holi diwali even rakshabandhan and janmashtami. but we work on national holidays. the reason given to us is that since the clients are in the us we have to work according to their schedule. now my question is in this scenario is it valid to work national holidays and if we are working on us standards shouldn t we get christmas and thanksgiving and 4th of july? thanks megha megha.chaudharigmail.com
Query regarding holidays-please guide
Hi folks recently i have released the holiday list for 2012 in my company.mine is a software services company.the holiday list consists of 10 holidays including the national holidays. apart from that 21 leaves are given to each employee . the feedback that i am receiving is that the 10 holidays should be excluding the national holidays i.e 10 holidays should be given and the national holidays should be separate. what is the practice in software companies regarding this? please guide lubna ambreen.
