Hi Shriya, Your post provides a cursory glance of the Factories Act 1948. Must be good for a starter. Depending on the need and interest one can go to the depth of the Act. Pl. refer to : DGFASLI. In their site , under `Statutes`, Factories Act 1948, including the amendments upto the year 1987 are given. The `Statutes` includes other useful rules and Acts.

The Factories Act, 1948 - Use of Compressor.
The present trend by Labour Inspectors/Factory Inspectors while your renewal of Registration is due. There is a black mailing trend being used by the Labour Inspectors. I happen to face one show.
One day an Engineering Company person just visited our factory and started enquiring about repairing machinieries etc. etc. He oberved the things and went pimped the Labour Inspectors. So beware of these kind of touts and never take anyone inside your factory whatever comes. They pick up even a casual slip up and make you land in trouble for no reason but only get packet to fill their pocket.
