Hardeep Asrani
I just turned 18 years old. I was born in 22nd August of 1996.
My birthday certificate says I was born in 22nd of August 1996, but all other documents (High school mark sheet, AADHAR CARD & all) says that I was born on 22nd of August 1997.
Can I get a PAN card with the current 22nd August 1996 date without changing my date on the mark sheet?
If yes, then please give me some details cuz I can pass it to my uncle who is an advocate.
Thanks,
Hardeep Asrani

Dear Hardeep,
You can go for PAN card by enclosing your birth certificate and get 22nd Aug. 1996 as your brith date in it. As a address/ID proof enclose your Bank pass book or bank account statement.
Moreover, I would also suggest you to do correction in your aadhar card and other documents to avoid complexity in future.

Hi,
Kindly answer the following first.
a) Do you know the real meaning and purpose of PAN CARD?
b) Why you required PAN card?
because it is not mandatory for you as you are just 18years old and have no official income?
