Shop License

Hi,

Is shop license & Shop and Establishment Act different or one and the same.

My uncle runs a small mobile shop working alone started few months back. was suggested by somebody to get the shop license. I undetsand he requires to run the shop but is it different from shop & establishment act or on and the same

Dear Hanish,

Yes you are right. It's Shop & Commercial Establishments Act of your state.

Your uncle's mobile shop must be registered with the above act.

Hi Umesh,

Please let me know baout this also.

I am looking forward to start housekeeping firm in Mumbai Area.
I have done some survey and got the understanding that one requires PF, ESIC, to be able to be in business.

Please let me know that is it required in the beginning itself because in the beginning you dont have twenty people. Its only after sometime you have 20 people under you to be registered with those acts.

But the problem here is if you dont have such things clients will not give work. Can you please tell mw how to work it out in a professional way.

Dear

You are advised to see the office of Shop Inspector of your area for getting the registration No. for your shop or purchase your State Shops Act wherein your unit is situated & go through registration provision to know the prodecure.
