Dear Seniors,
Please help me to explain the calculation of Privilege leaves.
A) Can we consider the following things ( days) in Pl calculation ?
1) No. of days work performed
2) Authorised leave / Maternity leave
3) Lock out & Legal strikes
4) Weekly off / c off
5) Leave with wages enjoyed ( PL)
6) Sick Leave & Accident Leave
7) Casual Leave
8) Paid Holidays
B) Which things (days ) we have to exclude form PL calculation ?

Dear Vaishali
Sec 79/ Exp I of Factories Act 1948
01.Every twenty days of work performed by him during the previous calendar year
02.Any day of layoff by agreement or contract or as permissible under the standing orders
03.In case of female workers maternity leave for any number of days not exceeding twelve weeks and
04.Leave earned in the year prior to that in which the leave is enjoyed.
shall be deemed to be days on which the worker has worked in a factory for the purpose of computations of the period of 240 days or more but he shall not earn leave for these days.
Sec79/Exp II The leave admissible under this sub section shall be exclusive of all holidays whether occurring during or at either end of the period of leave.
Please go through the Factories Act 1948 for further clarification'
