Dear Seniors,
I am working in a Private limited company as HR executive. I havn’t enough experience in this field. In this month one employee is retiring from the company. I wish to give him all the benefits which includes in ESI but unfortunately I don’t know anything about the pension scheme and its benefits. Now I want to know that, can he pay ESI contibution after his retirement for get the medical benefit. ???
Is there any provision for making individual ESI contribution? If yes, then please tell me about the procedure and the amount needed to pay in each month.! I am pleading for your valuable instructions.

Hi,
Under the ESIC ACT, he can eligible to undergo with hospitalization up to 6 months after leaving the company or after non contributing to ESIC due to separation from the work, but there are no provision to continue the esic contribution and continuation of ESIC benefits.

Sir,
Kindly see Rule 61 of ESI (Central) Rules, 1950 which provide for making retired insured persons eligible for medical benefit only on fulfilment of certain conditions. Therefore,you can suggest such retired insured person to contact the Branch Office of ESIC where he is presently attached to comply with such requirements.

Dear Friend The retried person is eligible to get the Sickness treatment but he has to contribute Rs.120 per year to the corporation Regards Alphonse

ESI has old age medical care benifit scheme to retired IP and to his/her spouse, on payment of Rs.120 pa to the corporation. Advise the lP to approach the BO of the corporation.
