Hello!!!
Can anyone kindly suggest Process for Background check. Suppose we interviewed a candidate and he is selected then can we make background check from the co. where he is currently working but this can hamper his reputation in the company further where he is working if he doesnt get selected. And what exactly is the difference between Reference check and Background Check.

Rucha,
At the time of interview itself you may check with candidate whether we can go ahead with BG check with his/her present employment. Upon his/her confirmation we have to act. Also if we need to go for BG checks, only if we are completely ok with the person (I mean ok for recruitment). Even if you not doing any check prior to recruitment we will do post BG check and get the confirmation. In case of any negative feedback we will go for termination. There is nothing harm in that. This is what generally happens in the industry.
