ANY FUNCTION CAN BECOME HR, BUT HR CANNOT BECOME ANY.. Hello Friends,
Many times we have many people saying that MY BOSS is really GOOD.
MY BOSS is motivating. MY BOSS is like a LEADER,
Then in such cases, the people are not working in HR neither their BOSSES are working in HR.
They are working in technical field, in finance, in logistics, and many other fields, still they value their boss very much and their boss is their main source of motivation and not the HR manager.
Its like the same case with me , When I was working in HR dept as HR trainee, I did not find my boss GOOD, or MUCH motivating, than today I do feel about my present BOSS,, today my job is in management, not HR ,, and my boss is not MBA ,, or a Management person, he is a technical person, still he has got good managerial skills,, and is effectively able to motivate us..
Then comes the question why do we need HR,, we need HR for recruitment, payroll, retention,,
The needs of training and dev, performance appraisal, and employee motivations lies with the functional bOSs and not the HR...
like in earlier times many great accomplishments were achieved, great wars were won,,, there management was used, by people who did not study anything,, so it goes that
anyone can study management but a HR person cannot do business, or the core function of the company,
So HR is nothing more than the support function. |
