Hello All,
Plz do suggest me about the working hours.
My boss says that the employees need to work from 9am to 6pm.
on count which almost becomes 9hours a day( It Includes 1hour break)
we are working 6 days a week.
Is it correct or we should frame new working hours policy...????

Before hand please let the forum know whether the company falls under S&E Act or Factory's Act. Secondly what is the query if your boss mentions the working hours is 8 hours excluding the Lunch Break and in a week of 6 days it is 48 hours. So what you require the forum to guide you, whether your boss is correct or not ???
Yes your Boss is correct the timing can be 9 to 6 (9 hours) including Break of 1 hour.

Yes dear it is very much valid, the term itself says working hour and not rest hours, so you have to count the working hours of the week/day. I hope this clarifies your doubt

Well, Actually I was bit confused with Factories Act about 8 working hours including Lunch hour or without lunch hours. Anyways Thank you so much sir for clearing my doubt.
