I left my job recently as the company was small & scope of improvement was limited.
In my recent interviews interviewers were keen on why did I left my job before getting new one?
Real reason was we needed to serve 2 months of notice period in my company & most of job opportunities requires candidates to join within 15-30 days, so I thought resigning was best option.
I have 2.5 years of experience.
Above answer didn't seem to convince them.
How can I explain it?

Dear Surajpatil007,
If you are feeling that your past interviewers were not convinced on your explanation then try to re-frame your explanation by better words and positive body language. It seems that you were not explaining correctly. It will be better if you write down the reason on paper and practice it in front of mirror. You will better judge yourself in this way.

Well, you are really in bad situation as you have done the wrong thing...but as of now just do not lose your confidence and bring it a little more in your and confidently face the interview and explain it well to make them understand.....you may say that it was hard enough for you to concentrate on the job as well as searching a new one and your were confident enough for your skills and decided to first leave the current job and then fully concentrate on the searching a good job for you.

Dear Suraj,
Do not feel low about it. Practice the useful tips provided by both the members above.
On other note, if you yourself admit that it was a wrong decision, no harm in acknowledging it in front of interviewers. It will exhibit your honesty and the ability to accept what was wrong and still come out of it a better way and learning from the mistakes. Next time when you take such decisions, please weigh it in practical terms and its implications.
All the best !

Dear Surajpatil007,
It's not always important which you reflect, the lack of improvement and promotion for your leaving, there is a lot of good reason which can compensate your leaving and could be a good justification such as:
I had performed my duty and my mission in xxxx company was overed, I feel that I can move for next challenge and I'm seeing these challenges into your company.
As a human being always we are looking for better opportunity and growth, and as I had a reserach regrading your company background, I had recognized which I can find a good opportunity for learning and development into this company.
Thus you have to play the role according to situation and prepare some strongh statements in your mind, but pls only reflect those Issues, which could be positive and always think positive.
Best of luck.

Hi Suraj,

Leaving a job before you fetch the next one is your own decision, no employer can reject you based on this. Its a formality to ask about the separation reason from previous employer. However in your case like other folks have mentioned you can say that you had to quit the organization in search of better opportunity but remember do not mention about the salary or package as a reason this would give a negative impression about your stability.

You can say you wanted had certain personal issues to be resolved and at the same time you wanted to change as that would suffice both your needs personal as well as professional and that the reason you had to resign from our services, now that everything is back to normal you are ready for a new challenge.

Possibilities of the interviewer digging the personal reason mentioned above are there but you can always say some family issues which you are not comfortable to reveal.

Most of all what helps you will be your confidence. just dont think that the reason mentioned by you above would be the only reason for your rejection in the interview there could be many more so look from different angles on one rejection and you will have the answer and the way towards success will be visible to you automatically.

All The Best!!!!
