Dear Seniors,
I have been working in a educational institution as a Administrative staff for 2 years, from 2008-2010 and i left that job on 2010. During this job tenure, they have deducted PF and P. Tax as well. I have all the required document ( Appointment letter, Pay slips) to prove the same. Since 2010, i am asking to clear my PF Account but they are continuously keep on saying in will get cleared by 3 month, 6 month and so on. Even the MD of the Institution promised to do the same by certain time. But till date i have not yet received my PF amount. I called them for several time and mail them stating this problem. But they are not at all responding to this thing.
Its been 3 years and i really dont know how to recover my money from them. Please suggest me on that issue so that i can get rid of this problem.

Hi,
Do send a strong written communication to them that you are going to launch a compliant against them. Please have all documents pertaining to the deduction, communication (from you and from them). Try to have acknowledgement of your letter sent. Wait for 15 days. Approach a labour consultant in your area and send a notice to your company with all relavent details. For sure your company will respond immediately as no company wants to spoil thier name for a simple reason.
Few things before your action, you have to be clear whether PF is deducted from you, if you have PF no, do check online about the status in EPFO website. Secondly, dont initiate a legal proceeding, it will take long years and you have spend more for the cases.
Think twice before you proceed. All the best

Hi,
Thank you for the response. I have sent a written letter against my problem, but once i asked to acknowledge, from the accounts deptt, he refuse to do the same and forwarding me to the director.
i was just moving table to table, and yes you are absolutely right, i cant afford any legal expenses, so have not yet proceed this way and in that locality i guess it would be difficult to find out a labor consultant. In that scenario, what should i do.

Hi again,
try to get your PF number and check whether there is an PF account for you. If you could do that. here there are two options. 1. Presently, if you work for any company, you can transfer the previous amount to your new company's account. 2. I do know whether it would work, try to figure out company in the following link EPFO <link updated to site home> under Establishment search (Also View Remittances & Member Name). with your details, write a detailed compliant to the PF regional commisioner copying your previous company. Please do have all acknowledge thru postal services for your reference. Let's hope for the best!!!! for sure you will get your money because its all your's and no one could jeopardise it.

Hi, Thank you for your opinion. Presently i am not working anywhere, so there is no chance to transfer my pf account. Hope the other way will work for me.

You may register your grievance with the Central PF Commissioner. Or,
You may file complaint in the District Consumer dispute Redressal Forum where all such complaints are generally decided within 6 months.
