Hello Sir,
I work as an Officer in a PSU Bank and have joined a year ago. A few months ago one of my customers had come to the branch to sort out his issue regarding his expired debit card. He was a patient of blood cancer and hence expressed his inability in coming down to the branch repeatedly to follow up on the progress of his issue. I had forwarded his request to the concerned department but no response came. I waited for a long time (almost 3 months) and kept knocking on the doors of the team to look into the issue. Tired of waiting and frustrated by the customer's incumbent pressure on me (i am in charge of Operations at my branch) I lodged a complaint directly at Head Office level to the CMD and Executive Directors. Now the department has alleged that I have violated Officers' code of conduct and Escalation Matrix protocol. They have asked my RM to take strict action against me. i need to know what action may be initiated against me. can I be suspended on this ground?
