Hi,
Please provide information with regard to the following:-
1. What is the latest amendment with regard to Ceiling of Bonus, ie what should be the minimum basic in order to give the bonus. (is it Rs.3500 or Rs. 5000)
2. Is bonus calculated on basic pay or gross OR What is the basis for calculation of bonus ?
3. Are Fixed Term Contractual (FTC) employee for one year term (which is renewed every year) is entitled for bonus ?
You are requested to reply soon as this is very urgent.

WHO IT MAY BE ONCE THEY ARE APPOINTED THROUGH COMPANY , IF THEY WORK FOR 30 DAYS AND ABOVE , THE PAYMENT OF BONUS IS MANTADORY UNDER THE LAW.
The salary ceiling limit is increaed to Rs 10000 , not Rs 5000 as specified by you.

dear
the employees whose basic is upto 10000 per month are entitled to get bonus .
but bonus is calculated on 3500,it means calculation is done on 3500.
all employee who has workded for more than 30 days are entitled to get bonus.

Dear all,
Bonus calculated on Earaning basic+DA (Below 10000), 8.33% on Earning Basic+DA, Calculation done on 3500.
The employment of 20 or more persons on even 1 day in a year is sufficiant to attract the provisions of the Act.

No you are not entitle for bonus because the present bonus ceiling is rs.10,000/- that mean those who earn basic+da rs.10,000/- only can entitle. The calculation is on rs.3,500/- (before it is rs.2,500)
