wage ceiling increasesd under payment of wages Act

Dear all friends,
Govt. of India,Ministry of Labour has revised the wage ceiling from Rs.6500 to Rs.10000/only under payment of wages Act with effect from 8th Aug. 2007 vide its notification no.S.O.1380(E).
The implication of this amendment would be that now employees drawing wages/salary up to Rs. 10000 can file their claims for recovery of their dues or illegal deductions from the employer.
any one interested in copy of notification may ask foe the same. however it will also be published in BUSINESS MANAGER magazine too.

Also I have a doubt whether this will have impact in the Provident Fund Act where we split the salary as below 6500 and above 6500 for calculation of fund.

Please clarify.

NO! It will have no impact on provident fund.Both are different and independent acts.
