Dear all,
I have been contacted by many friends to clarify the impact of this amendment on other statutes.
Iwould like to clarify that this amendment has no impact on ESI or PF or GRATUITY.
it has been relief to employees now whodraw up to 10000/ to claim their unpaid wages or illegal deduction from employers through labour authorities of the area. Till now only employees drawing up to 6500were eligible to go to labour dept. against employers for payment of their earnings in time.

Dear Friends,
From an employer's point of view what would be the implication?
One it would mean that lesser no of employees would come under the coverage of the Act?
Grateful for considered views?
Regards,
Sanjib.
