Hi Sameer,
You didn't mention whether you got a Job in Recruitment consultancy or an IT company?
Your education and your work profile are in 2 different directions, but since you mentioned that you are passionate about IT recruitment, I think you should go ahead and pursue your carrier in recruitment.
Recruitment is the first step in any organization therefore the future scope will be good, but again since you have mentioned about recession, recruitment is the first function of the HR which will be affected.
You can pursue distance MBA course if you wanted to go ahead with HR profession, because it will support your education and you will be more clear about other functions of HR.
All the Best!!

Hi Sameer,

Thank you for the details,

But I think signing a bond and submitting your original certificates is little risky business. If possible try to talk to any employee of that company and try to know about its work pressure, Appraisals and promotions, clients, go through website of the company try to find out how old is the company..etc.

There are other questions which comes to my mind which you can ask yourself or get information from a person who is working there:

1. Why they want you sign a bond? What are the reasons?

2. Since you will be submitting your original documents, what is the guaranty that it will be safe?

3. Since you are signing a bond for one and half years that means you will be not able to leave the company, but if there are some unavoidable circumstances (like if you are shifting to some other state) wherein you have to leave your job, are they going to return your documents and give your full payment and relieving documents?

4. If you are not happy with the kind of profile given to you or your boss is not good or if while taking interview they have described different job profile and actually you are doing some other job, in this cases will you be able to leave the job?

5. If you leave the company between this one and the half years span is that some kind of money they you need to pay the company?

I think you should think about above points and make your own decision.

[B]Hi Sameer ,
Being an B.Tech , I wont suggest you to take up the job as IT Recruiter , as IT Recruiter is kind of BPO job where u need to interview a huge number of manpower , normally IT Recruitment is like a International Call center job profile .
The first advantage taking up the job is that , if you have plans in doing MBA(HR) your work experience would be fairly counted as its all about recruitment.
Second advantage is that you will be talking to foreigners this would enhance your communication skill ..
Third advantage you get with this job is that your experience is one live example which tells that you are very good in-terms of your communication skill.
Fourth advantage is that you will be able to understand and grasp and know more about US , UK and Canadian accent (Depending on your process)
hope I have answered to the best of my knowledge
