Hello Everyone,
I have newly joined this site & found out that its very useful for the upcoming people in the Industry. Thanks a lot to all of them for keeping on posting the valuable messages/Information.
Its been three years that I am working in a software company. First I have joined as a Front office executive, then starting learning the Admin related works & now looking after recruitments (only screening the profiles & doing telephonic rounds). But my designation remains the same as a Front office executive.Now the thing is I want to improve myself in the area of HR & learn the admin related works still. Can anyone please help out, wt all the basic things or the list of things that are included for my present job and improve myself.

hi Latha, its really nice you are trying to learn things in HR. my advice is you should speak to your mgmt to promote you now as Admin HR executive if you wnt to go for admin profile or like as you are working screening and telephonic rounds too then you can also choose recruitment exe. profile also. you have 3 yrs experience of multi tasking in all these so try outside in some other co. if you get better opportunity. Things you should do is Basic admin responsibilities. Istead of screening and telephonic rounds you should do documentation work, joining formatlities, co-ordination work interly and exterly with vendors, all kind of reports which are necessry, get familier to letters format.

Thanks for sharing the valuable information and formats. I have a query that I am MBA in HR and graduate in psychology. I have done couple of good projects with companies of employee engagement, reducing attrition rate. Sir, I was looking forward for a HR generalist role, where it is noticed that in the market consultancy firms have huge openings which are more over for graduates. Sir, how can we build our profile according to the MNCs and what should be our approach in finding out HR openings for young MBA graduates.

Hi Lata,
It is nice to see you doing a bit of HR job along with your front office work. Please note that screening applications and telecalling for the candidates are very basic job in HR and for you to be recruiter,you need to improve your academics first and get trained with the senior personnel doing recruitment. Since recruitment involves of p[providing aptitude test for the candidates, the technical rounds have to be conducted by a senior Technocrat and rate the candidate's IQ, area of interest and dependability of work. Some times the recruiter has to to perform the antecedents and background verification of the candidates to asses their genuine details prior to shortlisting for the final round of interview and the rest of the formalities to be observed when the candidate is selected of the job/position.
