If your doing your MBA and taking HR as a Major then I would see what pillars or aspects of HR intrests you such as ie.: Talent Acquistion , Recruiting, Compensation, HRMS, Traning and Development, Benefits, Generalist role , Business Partners role, Employee Relations, Change Management, Operations etc..
You can find more about be searching on these topics by checking out some HR sites or reading some HR magazines - depending on where you are planning on practicing HR so see their needs.

Good Luck!

Re: MBA with HR as elective - give me guidance
Hi Tanu

Process Mapping is basically a high funda word for PFD ,ie Proces Flow Diagrams, which are pretty familiar to engg. students (though im not 1 of them). Just start from the basics..start with what runs an Udipi joint.
Divide the whole stuff into smaller modules n it'll be easier to draw a PFD then. Like Kitchen, Counter, Service, Dsiposals, Accounts & Inventory.
Just a broad idea though it can be done by various methods.

See if you can do this much..cctc on this site laters or email at if u dont parlez vous me

hi sunayna,

when there is no option than the said two subjcts, better u go for 'International Finance'. Some portions may be old, but one cannot simply strike off the whole subject saying that it is old.. Certainly, In these days of LPG, I think, an exposure to 'International Finance' will still be helpful.

Wish u all the best
