( www.bitstream.com) and work in the fields like font rendering & layout engines, wireless browsers and more. The legal formalities for acquisition of Fore-D Tech and conversion to Bitstream India Pvt. Limited are completed, and the company premises will soon shift to a new location.

Position Vacant -------------Type/Font Designer

Job Description --------------He will be working with the Bitstream Font Foundry.Job profile would require to work with a closed cross-functional team in US & India.Must be Good at troubleshooting problems at all stages of development.Strong aptitude for technical aspects.Person should be Capable of working independently.

Desired Profile ---------------

# BA/BS in an arts discipline or equivalent relevant experience required.

# Thorough understanding of typographic design, spacing/kerning relationships, diacritic mark usage and how to implement them in existing and new Indic typeface design.

# Strong aptitude for the technical aspects of modern day font development

# Strong experience using FontLab is essential. Knowledge of Type1 and TrueType hinting in FontLab is essential. Knowledge of and some exposure to OpenType development are very desirable, either in FontLab or Microsoft VOLT.

# Capable of working independently.

# Good at troubleshooting problems at all stages of development.

Experience----------------- 1 - 15 years

Compensation------------ As per Industry Standards

Education------------------ Any Graduate
