Dear Colleagues,
I am working at an Executive HR level in an infrastructure company in Mumbai and as known to all, its not a very promising industry now due to industry slowdown.
I am Planning to go for an SAP training but I am not very sure as how much value addition will it do to my career and will it help me to enter other industry with an increase in designation an pay.
Its also seen that such courses are of less duration and very high cost so recovery is also an concern.
Please share your experiences and thoughts.
Regards,
Kunal

Hi Kunal,
To answer your query. Yes, these certifications help you in landing a good job. But provided you have done few project implementations in the same. You need to keep in mind the cost attached with the program. Also check with the Institute about their placement program.
Whenever you plan to do this course make sure you are doing it from german server. Please refer to SAP website for the same.
Hope it answers your concern.
Cheers,
Shweta

Hi Kavya,
After doing SAP, any company will expect you to be a master of the software and know it in and out. Though they may not ask for project implementation since you are a fresher. Still since you are eager to start your career in IT industry, try to bag your internship in one of them.
Once you have even a bit of knowledge in practical, any company will consider your candidature.
Alternatively, you can search on job sites that what job descriptions are posted for the profile you are looking for and start preparing accordingly.
Hope it helps!!!
Cheers!!!

Doing SAP HR will add value if you are into HR operations. Later on depending on the how many projects yu have implemented, u may become a Fucntional consultant.
However, SAP HR is not a pre-requisite if you r looking into Core & strategic HR. It is just another tool in teh hand of HR leader to improve HR capability & delivery.
Further, SAP HR is mostly implemented to maintain employee life cycle, PMS, compensation & payrolling. It is not much used for L & D & recruitment actvities. For such activities, Peoplesoft is a better option.
