Epf enrolment: when employer have two different dates of establishment
Dear sir i am working in pvt. ltd. company as the first hr in this company and joined in mar 2012. this company is functioning since 11.04.2004 but there was no epf and esi enrollment. now my issue is some of the employees are working with this company a from the year 2004. but company a is no longer existing any where in present. my company i.e. company b registered on 19.08.2006 and renamed in 05.04.2011 with epf and esi enrollment date as 01.01.2007. company a employees has been transfered to company b successfully. but there is no joining formalities is being done in the company b. i have to complete this task from the beginning till date as i am the first hr. i would like to ask you that what would be the date of joining of the employees from company a. option 1. would epf enrollment date be the date of joining? option 2. date of company b registration would be the date of joining for old employees who have been working since the year 2004? please help me on this. your kind response will be highly appreciated. thanks/keerti
Pf enrollment for new employees
Hi all i am kalpana and i work as hr for a pvt ltd company in kerala. currently we follow a system wherein we start an employee with enrollment only after they complete 3 months of job in our company. till then their salary is shown as its mentioned in their offer also that they will be enrolled into upon their completion of 3 months service in our company. now my questions are: 1 are we practicing a right method? 2 do we have to ensure that these methods shall be used only for any scale of employees meant any salary level to be kept as cutoff 3 if we need to be vigilant of any things while preparing an offer letter for such employees. friends i started doing this as we had a lot of employees quitting the job within a month of joining or before even completing 3 months in our company. and we find it really difficult to manage their pf accounts. therefore kindly advice me further at the earliest possible. thanks & regards kalpana m: 91 85898955554

My last monthly ctc when i left company apvt ltd was rs18447 where employee s contribution to epf as well as employer s contribution was rs 1167 each. during covid times i had to join a sister concern company b pvt ltd of the same company who said they will pay me a consolidated amount equivalent to my previous company a s salary but without any epf benefits. but during calculation of my salary they calculated it without adding employer s contribution amount of rs 1167 and finalized my salary as rs 17280. since the 2 companies are separate entities can they choose to ignore rs1167 citing "consolidated salary" as a term?
