I am working in a factory in Chennai. Now we want to shift our factory to a new location which is 30 kms from the existing location.
Under which provision/rules of factories act can we do this? Any lead time to be given to workmen? We have a transport facility at present and also extend this to the new factory also. Can anyone give me a draft of the Notice to be displayed?

Dear , Please refer to Factories Act 1948 along with factory rule of your state, all provisions are stated clearly for shifting of factory with other relevant clauses.

I can suggest you full procedure for shifting of factory at any location of your choice. Please furnish information on following points.
1:- Name & address of factory. (Factory license)
2:- Manufacturing process & list of products.
3:- No of workers employed.
4:- Name of trade union (If any of your factory)
5:- Is there any wage agreement?
6:- Govt & Labour liabilities.
7:- If any litigation against your factory or employer.
8:- List of Directors/Proprietor & Name, address, telephone no, mail of the authorized person for finalizing shifting.
On receipt of the above information, Shifting procedure will be initiated, If contract is made with me.
