The calculation that you mentioned is not correct. At any cost Basic salary shall not be lesser that the minimum wages act.
Even PF & PT calculation is also entirely wrong

Hi Priya,
To know employees minimum wages as per state of Karnataka, you need to specify the designation of employees.
As per shops & Commercial Est. Schedule employment, minimum wages is fixed on designation wise unlike in factories where they go by HIGHLY SKILLED, SKILLED, etc.,
I am attaching minimum wages applicable for state of Karnataka for year 2013 -14.
