Hi Swati,
Its good that you want to take up a program for senior school/college students.
For any useful PD program you would need 15-20 hours spread over min one week to four weeks.
Each session can be of 90 mins.
The topics can be # How to build effective personality # Communication Skills # Grooming and Etiquette
# Interpersonal Skills # Teamwork # Goal setting and Time management
In my workshop i use the principle of IEEE for creating the right content and balance.

You can visit our website TRANZITION - Home for some more details.
Also you can visit the site businessballs.com for activities etc.
For your first introductory session you must give them a convicing WIIFM ( What's In It For Me)
What will the student gain from these workshops and how it will effect his / her career and life?
This aspect must be brought about.

I think everyone wants to progress in life for which we must know how to converse with people around because after we pass out from schools/colleges we dont open books to learn and study but learn many things from people around. So Socializing is prime to develop personality.
In Socializing you can cover:
- Socializing what it means and benefits
- How to approach people and how to make your self look approachable
-How to smile and handshake etiquette.
- Eye contact
- Body language
- Certain standard salutation or greeting phrases
Communication Skills:
- How to start talks
- How to end/stretch the talk
- How to have small talks
- General Standards of Conversation
Grooming:
- Standards
I think this will help them lot and will let them develop but the play here is for you to gather the data and make the presentation.
Thank you.

Hi have gone through your your desires. Starting from an age group of 16 and till 19 following topics must be covered as per what all I can get now in my mind:

1. Explaining them importance of there life to them, family, future and others around.

2. Explaining them attitude and how it affects us and others

3. Explaining them importance of time management in life.

4. Explaining them how to socialize in life with others.

5. Explaining them how to value life.

6. Explaining them what kind of people they can meet in profession.

7. Explaining them importance of grooming and hygiene.

8. Explaining them body language with do's and don't.

9. Explaining them certain common courtesies and etiquette.

For starting a session you can prepare a questionnaire sort of thing in which you can ask them questions related to their interests and desires in the life and then ask them to discuss about themselves in front of all in which ever language they are comfortable in

or

You can also do an activity before starting the session to break the ice where in each student is allowed to select a partner, both have to talk to know each other more well and then introduce all to the class.

I hope this will cover most of the day because important point is not to speak but to make people understand which takes time as understanding level of every one is different.

An advice to you is go through Kirkpatrick model to under stand training concept more good. Take care.
