Dear all,
As per the factories act 1948 Over Time (OT) can be paid every one know this. My question is all the employees are eligible to get the benefit irrespective of category of employees (all caders / designated employees) 'or' any limitation is there, like those who comes under ESI beneficiary. Please let me know in detailed manner.

Overtime is payable to all workers under factory act
Definition of workers in the act covers every employee other than occupier and factory manager.
So overtime is payable to all
However, employees defined under sec 64 (persons holding confidential position) are exempt from certain portions of the act related to wages and working hours. You need to see that
