Valid union - as per trade union act, 1926 union should have minimum 7 people?
I m working with one of the pharmaceutical company; here we have union of "akhil bhartiya chhava sangh"; at the time of formation of the union the union had only 7 employees. after formation of the union in few months one of the union employee had died. all employees are on the company roll permanent employees; now the situation is only 6 are there.. so my question is is this because as per trade union act 1926 union should have minimum 7 people... so please clear my doubt.

Dear all if the group of 10 or more people join together and form a union and sends a letter to management stating the name of union and other details of union like list of office bearer s etc. can the management refuse to recognise the formation of union? or it is binding to recognise the union said to be formed by workers? please suggest.

Citu has won the union elections and continuing as recognized union even after expiry of two years tenure as union election are due. as per labour dept. guidelines citu will be continued as recognized union till next union elections are conducted. meanwhile the recognized union i.e. citu has changed their political affiliation from citu to but there is no change in original name of the union i.e. workers & staff union and continuing original union regd. no. due to change of political affiliation from citu to recognized status of the union will continue or not? i request seniors to give their opinion please.
Handling of arrogant and immatured union in chattisgarh
We are facing almost every day some issue or other being raised by union and if not fulfilled they threaten to stop the plant. all employees are with the union and there are some instances of violence also. the union is supported by local mla and police does not even take our complaint. the show cause notices and warning letters are being refused by employees and when sent to home address the management does not get any reply. what are your suggestions to control this union.

Dear sir is it allowed to have worker union and staff union in one organisation by the law? is it possible for staff union to get recognition from employer while there is established worker union ? if yes then what is the procedure to get recognition for registered staff union .pls advice...
