Ok... I have seen a lot of people with not so great communication skills working in the US staffing team. I suggest you should observe the other team members how they speak to the candidates on the phone, how they convince them etc. By observing itself you can learn a lot.
About acquiring knowledge whenever you are working on a requirement study about it beforehand.... check for information on the net etc. so that you appear knowledgeable to the candidate. Regarding sample questions well I think you should observe your colleagues interaction with the candidates and simply follow the same method.
If you want to improve your communication skills (spoken english) you can enrol for English speaking classes. I am sure you will find many in Hyderabad.
Hope the above inputs would be useful to you.

Dear Sharma,
You are a HR professional, you should not back out from this minor situation. Your company must have found some qualities in you to take care for US recruitment. You are getting a very good chance to improve your English Comm skills. Take it easy & go ahead.

Dear Sharma,
Pls. search public sites like Google, Youtube etc. I believe you should be getting lot of materials to learn better English, if you prefer even thru Telugu. One good institute I know is Veta but I am not sure if they offer teaching thru Telugu. In any case pls. search internet, you will get lot of valuable results to learn better English.
Hope this helps, Thanks...
