Exempt from esic - ot was paid in cash - now worker is not willing to pay this excess paymentDear colleagues i have faced a problem regarding esic contributions. please go through the following and suggest. previously at our factory ot was paid in cash and did not show in the register. now we are paying ot with wages in individual s bank a/c. before as ot was not shown in the register so statutory deductions calculation was made only on wages and that s the reason previously esi deduction was lesser than current. now the situation is that worker is not willing to pay this excess payment and regarding that i wish to share that more of the employees get more than 15000 as wages per month including ot. Question on ot/arrearDear sir does overtime payment included in esi deductions.is ot criteria for coverage of emloyee. if my salary is 12000and ot is 6000 then on which payment there will be esi deduction. & arrear is also considered for esi deduction. suppose my salary is 10000/ and arrear paid is 6000 then my salary become 16000 of that particular month. whether deduction will be on 10000 1.75 or on 16000out of coverage1.75 or if arrear amt is 4000 then salry is 14000 then what is criteria. pls answer. regards vivek kumar Maternity benfit for esi - joined a new company which has only 6 months of esic deductionHi please help me... i joined recently a new company which has only 6 months of esic deduction while joining i was pregnant.. our company has created new esic number without knowing that i have already esi deduction in the previous company to take maternity leave 9 months of the deduction is compulsory right.. but in the previous company also i have esic deduction but with different esi number... now what do i have to do to get maternity benefits?
