Dear Gaurir
Please refer to the law under which the profession tax is levied in Maharashtra. That Act would define the term "salaray" or "wage" as the case may be. Please proceed according to this definition.

Sec 2 ( h) of M H P Tax says that Salary includes all remunerations received by any person on regular basis, whether payable in cash or kind and also includes perquisites and profits in lieu of salary , as defined in sec 17 of the income tax act 1961 ( not include bonus in any form, and on any account or gratuity )
