Dear Mr David Thampi
You have captured the essence of careless approach
that people adopt, in an excellent way.
Each and every one of the slide is something one would
have come across at some time or other in an industry.
Hindsight wisdom undoubtedly teaches valuable lessons.
As they say, life is too short to make all the mistakes and learn from it.
Learning from others is the best and safest way to learn about SAFETY.
Thank you very much for the post.

Dear Kesava,
Toolbox talks is safety training at worksite with duration of 15-20 minutes & training provided on one selected topic . This is been done when any new job is to be taken or when any contract workmen joins the site. Whenever any critical job is taken before that also a toolbox talk is delivered to know the hazards & preventive measures to be taken. Still if any further clarification required then feel free to contact me.

Dear Deepak B Dorik,
Thanks for your post on my query.
Regret to say that the query was specifically addressed to Mr.David Thambi to know what he presumes on tool box meetings to make a ppt for the purpose.
Where thousands of workers and hundreds of supervisors and formen forming groups regularly engage in tool box meetings especially in construction sites, possibility of using power point presentation (on these tool box meetings) for me is imaginary.
Again your reply is questionable for my understanding is different.
For me tool box meeting is not only for new or contract workers. It is for every one at worksite including office staff on regular basis where presence of even sr.officers is insisted. Apart from regular scheduled tool box meeting there are various situations calling for tool box meetings as you mentioned as critical, new jobs, immediately after an incident etc.
I still wait for a reply from the thread initiator.

Really a wonderful one. Will be helpful in training. It creates awareness and using the presesntation in regular training sessions repeatedly, alongwith other topics, hopefully institutionalise safety.

Dear Mr. Davidthampi
The PPT is imaginative and interesting. The title 'afterthoughts and regrets' is also appropriate and attractive. CONGRATS.
PPT can be used in toolbox talk or other programmes.
Please note spelling mistake in the word 'regrets' in the title.

Dear Mr. Kesava Pillai,
Thanks for your valuable comments. Definitely the Powerpoint presentations will not be applicable as well as imaginery as you said. It is not applicable in construction site, but it is useful in industrial plants, especially in the Operation or Maintainence.
Animations, pictures or even videos can say more than just a verbal talk. So our departments here more prefer such talks.

Dear Davidthampi,
With your presentation every slide is unique and conveys a thought provoking message.
However I would suggest that these can be made into posters and used one at the time of tool box meetings. Based on each slide converted to a poster one can develop a meaningful tool box meeting.
My appraoch is to convey that ppt is not the media for tool box meeting.
Keep it up.
