Hi All,
I have received an offer thru email regarding salary negotiations and accepted the offer thru mail ten days back.
Till now I did not receive the formal offer.
How much time i have to wait to receive the formal offer letter?
Whether the employer can reject the offer at this time?
Thanks & Regards,
Hima

Dear Ms. Bindu18180,

No employer artifice in taking back the given appointment to the selected candidate. In such case let me explain you clearly that through the recruiting process the candidate is how so far ok -- the employer thinks twice before releasing an offer, if they are unsure on the candidate they put him/her on hold.

There aint any case so far like the way you've expected.

Yes, in one case this might ensue. If the company has given you an offer letter/LOI ((Letter of Intent) it is temporary. In a case of BGV (Back Ground Verification) process they might delay your appointment order. The preeminent approach to acquire information on how about the this is to call the HR of the company and speak to him calmly. Tentatively, if they haven't already told you abot BGV, make sure you ask them serenely.

Do not panic, wait for a couple of days more and see if you can reach the HR by phone/mail. Let this forum also know your next level for our seniors to put in the ground.

I agree with Sharmila ji, but few things, I would like to know form you.
Is this your first communication with them?
any telephonic interview or conversation you have with them in this regard before, or
have you ever been with them for your formal interview and negotiations?
If no, please ignore and move on. If they ever selected you, would certainly have asked to visit them for a formal interview and negotiation after your acceptance by email or but seems there is nothing like this and it seems you have never ever have any telephonic interview or conversation with them in this regard...
You know that you have received an E-mail job offer, this may possibly a temporary offer letter or LOI to you as aforesaid said by Sharmila Ji, which you must not take it seriously.
In addition, if you want you can contact them by making a phone call directly if you their contact numbers.

hi all,
Thank you for the suggestions.
I have gone through couple of technical interviews and salary negotiations are done. I have sent them all the documents/certificates to them.
They shared me the CTC details and I accepted the CTC. I accepted the offer on 24th of last month.
Till now i did not receive the official offer letter.
Until and unless I am having the official offer letter from that employer, how can I approach my current employer for my release?
Thanks & Regards,
Bindu

I guess the best then is to call up the company and ask them when they are going to send the offer letter and clearly tell them that you can not resign till they give the offer letter to you
