Dear Mr. Krishna,
It depends upon the operations applicable to your firm. Since your firm is an industry and covering various acts & rules, your employer is bound to exhibit the following on the Notice Board (In English or in the regional language of majority of workers engaged in your firm) which are in general to every establishments:-
a. Standing Orders applicable to workmen/staff (it depends upon the Number of employees on rolls)
b. Payment of Minimum Wages Act/Rules,
c. Payment of Gratuity Act/Rules
d. List of Holidays (National & Festival)
e. Date of Disbursement of Wages
f. Sign Boards/Notices as per Pollution control Rules

Dear Krishna,
Welcome to citeHR.
As you are new to HR this is the opportunity to learn the basics right away. There are so many things you have to take care of legally and not only placing some notices on the board. I suggest you should buy each one copy of all labour related Bare Acts. You go thro' them and start noting down legal compliances so that you would do a perfect job and also, in the process learn lot about HR. There are enough links you could see on the right side of your screen where the links discussed such topics already which would be handy to start with. You are free to ask any specific queries in this forum, anytime. Make use of this site fully as almost all subjects had been discussed many a time already, so your needs are made available already, use the boxes at the top of this page to find what are all you need.
All the best.

Dear All,
I am agreeing with Mr. Kumar S. No doubt ours is a very useful platform to know and learn lot of things on all activities of HR, IR, Personnel. But, of late I am feeling it is becoming a 'spoon feeding' activity for budding professionals.
I am requesting all senior professionals to advise these youngsters to read related books and improve their knowledge else, i afraid they may become dependents.
I may be excused if my comments hurt any one, but this is my feeling which I hope for the betterment of our fraternity.

Hi Sitaram,
Sorry to say I don't agree to what you say. This site is meant for this itself, all are supposed to ask any query related to HR, and who ever has a solution could help this budding HR Executives . One suggestion you can give is that who ever has a query should 1st search for the solution and if they don't find then post your doubt.
If you can guide some one then why not, by sharing your knowledge you don't lose anything, infact gain.
Regards
Anita

Dear All,
Would someone please help out on how to fill up the form J under Maharashtra Shops and Establishments Rules, 1961?
I really cannot understand that form. A filled up sample would really be helpful.
Thanks in advance
